HIGH CHOLESTEROL – THE DOUBLE-EDGED SWORD
NATURAL ONLINE DOCTOR’S SUNDAY BLOG
Do you know the 4 most dangerous words in medicine? >> YOU ARE THE DOCTOR. Spell: you, as the ‘god in white’ knows what is good for me; nobody else does.
Fact 1: Each doctor, like any businessman, has not only you on his mind but also his financial interests.
Fact 2: At first hand, not your doctor knows what is good for your health, only your body does, as an independent biological phenomenon.
From this point of view you have to see that, and why, 56 million Americans are on statins for high cholesterol, paying a total of more than 130 billion dollars to the pharmacies for prescription statins. Until the very last day of their life, as ‘prescribed’ by their doctors. And with dramatic side effects, including diabetes and/or hypertension in many cases.
A vicious cycle, based on the patient’s insufficient knowledge of how their body (a natural ecosystem) works, and what it needs to survive, without side effects.
Cholesterol is per se not at all a ‘satanic’ substance, as suggested by the pharmaceutical industry and many doctors. Rather, cholesterol is an essential component of cell membranes, and an essential component of bile, responsible for a healthy digestion, helping to break down fatty acids, etc., etc.
And since your body is basically a self-reliant ecosystem, it produces 70% of cholesterol in your liver, while 30% come from malnutrition, as the basic risk factor for creating LDL (low density lipoprotein), the so called ‘bad cholesterol’.
Unfortunately, most doctors do not tell you to change your diet (based on scientific evidence of renowned U.S. universities) but rather prescribe statins, thus blocking the natural production of ‘good’ cholesterol in the liver. With dreadful, if not deadly consequences. A latrogenic (doctor-made) situation, and vicious cycle.
In a nutshell:
There is a saying in American medicine that there are 2 types of ‘useful idiots’: those of the pharmaceutical companies, and those of medical science. Check out to which party your healthcare provider belongs, before you follow any protocol and drug regimen. Or contact
