THE PHILOSOPHY BEHIND

Unlike general assumptions, smoking is not just a single health-related issue but can affect our whole body with disability and even premature death.
 
With almost half a million of smoking-related (1 in 5) deaths in the U.S. And cutting down life expectancy of smokers with about 10 years.
 
According to U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
 
To go into more detail, let us cover basic

SMOKING-RELATED HEALTH ISSUES – SCIENTIFICALLY VERIFIED

  • CARDIOVASCULAR HEALTH
 
Smoking can cause atherosclerosis, i.e. plaque setting up in blood and artery walls, building up blood clots.
 
This may not only increase blood pressure but lead to
- coronary heart disease
- heart attack
- cut blood flow (to legs and skin)
    and
- stroke (speak: blood clots with brain damage and manifold with death)
      
Certainly with smoking is also

  • LUNG DAMAGE

- COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease)
   Potentially leading to chest tightness/wheezing/shortness of breath
- Chronic bronchitis potentially with cough and airway inflammation

With almost 70 chemicals out of some 7,000 chemicals in tobacco being responsible for.
 
According to the U.S.
- National Cancer Institute

- American Cancer Society
smoking is responsible for 80 % of lung cancer deaths and 30% of all cancer deaths with smoking.

  • FERTILITY
 
is another health issue related to smoking – for men and women.
 
Not only that men may become impotent with smoking, women may have problems to become pregnant if they smoke.
 
More than that. As female smokers (and newborns) can potentially have the problems with
infant health problems and even death like
- premature birth
- loss of pregnancy
- low weight at birth
