While based on healthy diet & physical activity, our health and longevity also depends on lifestyle. Such as our attire when it comes to eczema flares on our skin. Summer and winter alike. Read on to learn about details.
.

THE PHILOSOPHY BEHIND

Eczema is a well spread inflammatory condition of the skin leading also to a flare itching and dryness of the skin. Especially when goaded on by certain dressing, during winter and summer.

Therefore, it is highly advisable for those with eczema to wear breathable and soft natural fabrics in order to avoid this type of exaggeration.

TYPES OF ECZEMA FRIENDLY DRESSING

As recommended by the National Eczema Society (NES) in London.

One of these natural fabrics is

  • Cotton

As derived from the seeds of cotton plants.

With following natural properties like
  • breathability
  • high absorbency
  • softness

However, it is important to choose 100% organic cotton. Because so called ‘cotton blends’ usually contain synthetic fabrics such as polyester which is unfavorable for the skin. As they may come with allergens such as dyes and formaldehyde resins.

Another beneficial type of fabric comes from the pulp of the

  • Bamboo

plant.

With following benefits such as, inter alia,

  • softness
  • thermoregulation
  • antibacterial property
  • high absorbency
  • breathability

With special reference to subtypes of bamboo viscose and bamboo rayon.

Close to this bamboo or wood pulp is

  • Lyocell

Not to overlook the fabric of

  • Silk

which is made of the protein named fibroin. And which you can also wear under regular clothing.

These natural fabrics are especially beneficial in summertime with its high UV radiation and high humidity.

On the other side, during winter, the National Eczema Association (NEA) in Novato, CA, recommends 3 dress layers to cut down eczema flare. As follows: base/middle/outer layer.

IN A NUTSHELL

While based on healthy diet & physical activity, our health and longevity also depends on lifestyle. Such as our attire when it comes to eczema flares on our skin. Summer and winter alike.
