Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) is well part of folk wisdom when it comes to our health. But is it scientifically validated? Just learn more about…
Barney Holst from Oak Brook, IL, asks:
Only recently I learned that apple cider vinegar (ACV) may be something like a wonder drug for our health - ?
Based on the fact that man – like our globe the Earth in general – is a natural ecosystem strictly based on natural laws, nature supports us with all vital nutrients and remedies for our health. Covered by folk wisdom since thousands of years, and manifold scientifically validated today.
One of these nutrients and remedies – and detox at the same time - is Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV). Made from apple must or cider. With many benefits for our health. Inter alia,
· * balancing vital pH value,
· * strengthening our immune system
· * lowering the risk of atherosclerosis to avoid cardiovascular disease
With special reference to quite some ‘modern’ (and even chronic) health issues.
· BODY WEIGHT
which to lower with ACV can be life-saving for many of us, since overweight – especially obesity – may be the underlying cause of many ailments and diseases, cancer being no exception.
Based on research at 2 highly renowned medical institutions in Sweden – University of Lund and Malmoe University Hospital – with special reference to slowing down gastric emptying (the rate food needs to get from the stomach to the small intestine). Along with lowering postprandial insulin levels and blood glucose.
This is especially important for insulin-dependent patients with diabetes 2 (mellitus).
In this light we have also to see
and regulating blood sugar when taking ACV together with food high in carbohydrates which otherwise raises blood sugar levels dramatically. Especially when taking it before bed.
According to research at, inter alia, Arizona State University in Mesa, AZ.
Similar benefit of taking ACV is for patients with high
to reduce blood lipid levels because of ACV's influence on blood lipids.
As proven, inter alia, by research at Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences in Sari, Iran, and the National University Health System in Singapore.
HOW TAKE ACV & HOW MUCH?
Based on above mentioned research, it is recommended to take up to 2 tablespoons of ACV daily in 8 oz of water, especially before be with a meal.
If preferred, it may be sweetened according to your choice (e.g. with honey, stevia or maple syrup, etc.)
Also consuming it along with, e.g., apple juice or cinnamon, may be acceptable.
And those without a ‘sweet tooth’ may add it to salad dressing, put it on popcorn, or stirring it into stews or soups, etc.
Before you buy ACV in a bottle, read the Nutrition Facts carefully (no fat, no sodium, no carbohydrate please) and make sure that the product is organic, unfiltered, unpasteurized and rich in enzymes. Also, it shall have 5% acidity with the "Mother".
