AVOID KNEE/HIP REPLACEMENT NATURALLY

6/10/2018

To support the joints of our knees and hips, nature ‘got it all’ to relieve pain, inflammation, and swelling. Effective and without side effects. Scientifically validated. Avoiding the trouble of technical joint replacements. Just read on…

THE PHILOSOPHY BEHIND

Lester Wright from St. Petersburg, Florida, asks:

My mother, suffering from aches and pain in her knees and hips, has been advised by her healthcare provider to get her joints replaced. Obviously latest technical achievement of modern medicine in our industrialized world, Doc?

Dr. Fritz:

According to the World Health Organization (WHO) statistics, this deteriorating joint disease (medical terms: osteoarthritis / rheumatoid arthritis) causes 10% of all most disabling health conditions in the industrialized world.

Affecting some 10% of men and almost 20% of women 60 years and older. With 80% of those suffering limited movement, and some 25% being unable to accomplish their daily activities. With a skyrocketing prediction of up to 130 million victims in 2050.

That's why knee and hip joint replacements have become ‘modern’ to seemingly improve quality of life.  At least for those suffering aches and pain, and stiffness in their knees or hips when walking and with other daily activities.

Yet, in most cases, these replacements are replicated within 10 years in average, because of this all but perfect technology.

Fortunately, this vicious cycle can well be spared in favor of easy and cheap self-managed lifestyle adjustments in line with nature.

NATURAL LIFESTYLE ADJUSTMENTS – SCIENTIFICALLY VALIDATED

In fact, appropriate nutrients and herbs are nature’s prime answer to relieve and overcome osteoarthritic pain, inflammation and lack of mobility. All of these lifestyle adjustments being self-manageable, cheap and effective.

Scientifically validated around the globe.

According to a meta-study elaborated by the University of Surrey, UK, involving almost 70 international studies, just one gram of

Omega-3 fish oil

per day can reduce inflammation and pain in the joints.

Scientifically validated, inter alia, by Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA, and the New York Presbyterian Hospital.

 Also

Vitamin K

to be found, inter alia, in kale and spinach not only is very important for our health in general but also to repair and prevent damage to the joint cartilage.

Even more, a positive effect on prevention and treatment of rheumatoid arthritis has been attributed to

Mediterranean Diet

in general, based on research by, inter alia, the University of Canberra in Canberra, Australia, Harokopio University in Athens, Greece, Coventry University in Coventry, UK, and Rutgers University in Brunswick, NJ.

No less important – but highly deficient in our industrialized society - is

Vitamin D

Not only as a most important vitamin for our physical and mental health in general but when it comes to prevent and manage joint pain, especially in cases of inflammation as an underlying cause.

Based on research at, inter alia, the Korea University College of Medicine and the Hanyang University Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases, both in South Kore’s capital Seoul, and the Red Cross Hospital in Athens, Greece.

How realize if we are deficient in vitamin D – besides joint pain? E.g., see symptoms in daily life such as,

     *   Fatigue
  • Weakness
  • Muscle pain
  • Respiratory issues
  • Low mood (especially seasonal affective disorders – SADs)
  • Etc.

Leaves us with the question how to balance vitamin D deficiency best?

The very best source of vitamin D is certainly sunshine.  I.e., if we expose any part of our skin to the sun moderately, it can produce vitamin D naturally in our body biologically from ultraviolet B light (UVB).

However, in times like winter, e.g., when sunshine is rare, we may still balance our vitamin D with, inter alia, following natural foods:

      *   Oily fish (like salmon, tuna, mackerel, etc.)
  • Egg yolks
  • Mushrooms

Not to forget about

Essential oils

as extracted from the leaves, bark, and root of specific plants by pressure or steam. To be either inhaled, applied topically or used in a warm bath to prevent and treat pain and inflammation in the joints of our knees and hips. While this is part of folk wisdom since thousands of years – it is scientifically validated today.

With special reference to, inter alia,

Eucalyptus oil

based on research at, inter alia, Korea University and Eulji University in Daejeon, both in South Korea’s capital Seoul.

Similar to

Evening primrose oil

because of its rich content of gamma linoleic acid and beta-amyrin and their anti-inflammatory power.

Recommended dosage is 540 mg up to 2.8 grams divided over 6 times per day, and for at least 6 months, according to the Arthritis Foundation.

Also

Frankincense oil

derived from the biblical herb Boswellia, to treat chronic pain and inflammation. Mentioned already 2000 years ago in the Holy Bible, exactly for this purpose, and scientifically validated today inter alia by the U.S. Arthrits Foundation.

Same as

Turmeric/Curcumin oil

documented in the Holy Bible as well, and scientifically validated by contemporary research at, inter alia, the University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ and Hoseo University in Asan, South Korea.

Lavender oil

is not only known for treating natural depression and anxiety, but also to reduce pain.

Scientifically validated by, inter alia, Hacettepe University in Turkey’s capital Ankara.

Ginger oil

is well known for same purpose of pain and inflammation relief, as scientifically validated by, inter alia, the University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ.

Same with

Basil oil

for relief of pain and inflammation, and swelling as well, according to Universidade Estadual de Maringa in Parana, and the University of Campinas in Sao Paulo, both Brazil.

Additionally to these nutrients, weight loss (in cases of obesity) and low-density (aerobic) exercise (such as walking, biking, etc.) helps to relieve   this kind of joint deterioration.

CONCLUSION

To support the joints of your knees, hips, and hands, nature ‘got it all’ to relieve pain, inflammation, and swelling. With contemporary scientific validation. Thus saving the trouble of technical joint replacements.
