CHRONIC DISEASE: ASK THE U.S. MILITARY?

5/21/2017

If you are diagnosed with cancer or any other ‘chronic’ disease, most likely, you are on a kind of 'synthetic' treatment which is not in line with your body's natural biologic requirements for health. Read on to learn along with the U.S. Military how to leave this vicious cycle naturally.

Ken Roberts from Tucson, AZ, asks:
My brother, a Vietnam veteran, is running in cycles, healthwise. No week without new drugs on prescription, just to 'relieve' (?) the side effects of last week's drugs, but no betterment. A vicious cycle?

Dr. Fritz:

Your brother is not the only citizen out there with these problems. Especially in the military (active duty personnel and veterans).

For better understanding, let's face this medical phenomenon step by step.

HISTORIC BACKGROUND

The U.S. is first in modern medicine development of the industrialized world. Inter alia,
* First modern cardiologist (Dr. Paul Dudley White, personal physician of former U.S.
   president Eisenhower)
* First open heart surgery (Dr. Michael DeBakey)
* First artificial heart transplant (Dr. Denton Cooley)

UP-TO-DATE

Despite of this historic background, according to the official U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), half of American adults (117 millions) have at least one chronic illness. With heart failure, cancer, and diabetes on top of the list. Of those, 2 million citizens die each year premature - and preventable - of chronic illness. With 50% of the surviving adult population having at least one chronic disease.

Additionally, 500,000 citizens die each year in the U.S. alone of wrong diagnoses/therapies and latrogenic (doctor-made) diseases. Half of those (250,000+) are 9.5% of inpatients. Scientifically validated recently in the 2 most renowned medical journals worldwide - the British Medical Journal and the New England Journal of Medicine.

THE PHILOSOPHY BEHIND

The historic supremacy of medicine in the U.S. is based on technical and chemical advancements which in many cases can save (and extend) lives - but cannot cure.

In other words, modern American medicine "extended the length of poor quality life more than good-quality life".(University of South Carolina Davis School of Gerontology). By disregarding following …

BIOLOGIC-ECOLOGIC FACTS

Not only is our globe, the Earth, an ecosystem strictly based on natural laws. Also, any living species on this planet is a biologic ecosystem by itself, based on very same natural laws.

That’s why only your body’s natural immune system and self-healing power can cure any disease - and keep you healthy. Based on natural remedies and modalities, with special reference to medicinal herbs.

Unfortunately yet, according to a recent survey of the Drug and Therapeutics Bulletin (published by world renowned British Medical Journal) 97% of conventional doctors and pharmacists have "not adequate knowledge" in this field.

PERSONALIZATION

Not only this, each inhabitant of our globe has a different/individual metabolism. With none alike. This requires that any therapy needs to be personalized. Instead of applying a kind of one-size-fits-all ‘assembly line medicine’.

SYSTEMIC/HOLISTIC APPROACH

Also, since your body is a biologically complex phenomenon, connected by our body-wide blood circulation, so are illness and disease, requiring a systemic/holistic (speak: whole person) approach. Which, in most cases is suspended by conventional medicine in favor of a localized therapy.

LIFESTYLE

Rounded up by a healthy lifestyle in terms of healthy/balanced diet and physical activity.

In line with late Swedish physician Are Waerland:
"We are not dealing with disease but with wrong lifestyle. Let's adjust our lifestyle
and the diseases will vanish in no time."

Unfortunately yet, according to most recent research at Oregon State University in collaboration with the University of Mississippi, only 2.7% of U.S. adults are living a 'healthy lifestyle'.

IN A NUTSHELL

Doing justice accordingly, to get out of your vicious cycle of conventional medicine, you may want to ask your doctor to develop a personalized natural health plan for you, in line with your individual metabolism, and in line with the aforementioned biologic facts.

LEARN FROM THE U.S. MILITARY

The difference between conventional medicine and scientifically validated natural medicine has been well understood also in the U.S. military. With health costs - one of the fastest-growing parts of the defense budget - skyrocketing by 130% between 2000 and 2012.

Without solving the health problems in most cases, but with "up to 35% of soldiers wounded in action becoming addicted to drugs, prescription or otherwise", according to Col. Kevin Galloway, head of the U.S. Army's Pain Management Campaign Plan.

Before U.S. Navy called a halt before it's too late, by taking on Alternative Medicine as its new mission.

Proving the farsightedness of the U.S. Military with respect to wellness of its active personnel on duty and veterans alike.

This "marks the beginning of a cultural shift in how health care is practiced in the military", according to U.S. Army Surgeon General Lt. Gen. Eric B. Shoomaker, MD, PhD.

Just as a Marine, gravely injured in Afghanistan, confirmed U.S. Navy's new mission by  his own experience at a medical conference, organized at and by the University of California-San Diego's medical school: "After three years walking around on crutches and being on narcotics, I've been able to cut my prescriptions in half."

Army Col. Richard Petri, chief of physical medicine and integrative health services in Fort Bliss, Texas, putting it finally straight:

"If we don't change our conventional practices, healthcare in the military will bankrupt the military."
