DIABETICS: KNOW VICIOUS COMORBIDITIES

7/17/2022

Diabetes 2 is not only one of the chronic/unsolved health problems of our time, it is also related to at least one crucial comorbidity in 3 quarters of cases. Heart disease & cancer potentially included.  Scientifically validated. Read on to learn about details.

THE PHILOSOPHY BEHIND

As you know from our previous studies, according to World Health Organization (WHO) statistics, 86% of non-age-related deaths and 77% of diseases in general are the consequence of chronic (unsolved) diseases. With heart failure, cancer and diabetes 2 on top.

Not only this. Diabetes is also related to quite a few debilitating comorbidities you should know in case you are affected. So are ¾ of diabetics with at least one comorbidity, and 44% with at least 2 comorbidities.

According to comprehensive research in the UK at, inter alia,

- University of Manchester
in Manchester

- University of Oxford in Oxford
- University of Nottingham in Nottingham
- University of Sussex in Brighton
   &
-
Keele University in Staffordshire

With similar scientific results in Asia at, inter alia,

- Hokkaido University
in Sapporo, Japan

   &

- National University of Singapore
in Singapore

To start with

Heart Disease

This is not only on top as #1 of the above mentioned chronic/unsolved diseases on the WHO list, but also related to diabetes.

As diabetes affects in a negative way the nerves and blood vessels supporting our heart, hardening the arteries.

That’s why 30% of diabetics are affected by heart disease and/or stroke – with the risk of heart failure - according to the U.S. governmental Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

In this case the heart may not work efficiently to pump blood, as it is supposed to do.

Related to other health issuers like buildup of fluid in lungs, with difficulty of breathing, and swelling in legs.

That’s why cardiovascular events, including stroke and heart attack leading to main cause of premature death, are not uncommon for diabetics.

In this context we have also to see that

Hypertension

is one of these comorbidities.

This can happen as the raised blood sugar in cases of diabetes damages blood vessels increasing the resistance in arteries leading to higher blood pressure.

As based on research at, inter alia, Kagoshima University in Kagoshima, Japan.

In fact, according to
- Tulane University in New Orleans, LA

&
- Peking University Health Science Center in Beijing, China
more than 85% of diabetics are affected by hypertension.

Kidney Disease

is another potential consequence if diabetes 2, especially as the role of kidneys is related also to blood pressure regulation.

High blood sugar may also have a negative effect on the blood vessels of the kidneys. According to the U.S. National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK).

Leading to the fact that diabetes is the primary cause of kidney failure, according to the U.S. National Kidney Foundation.

Sleep Disorders

Around half of diabetics, if not even up to 3 quarters, are struck by sleep problems. Based on blood sugar irregularities.

According to research in the U.S. at the

- University of Illinois in Chicago, IL
   &
- University of Delaware in Newark, DE
as well as in China at
- Shanghai Jiaotong University in Shanghai

Waking up several times at night for urination and otherwise.

Along with sleep disorders such as, inter alia,

  • Insomnia
           i.e problems of
           - falling asleep
           - staying asleep
           - finding sound sleep

  • Restless leg syndrome
           I.e. sensations in the leg

  • Sleep apnea
I.e. breathing irregularities on and off during the sleep

Also, it is possible that diabetics develop certain types of

Cancer

like, inter alia
- breast
- colon
- pancreatic
- liver
- bladder
cancer.

Based on complexity of related diabetic health issuers such as, inter alia,
  • inflammation
  • insulin resistance
           &
  • overestimated cell growth

According to research in Saudi Arabia at

- Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University in Riyadh
   &
- Prince Sultan Military Medical Center in Sulimaniyah

Obesity

I.e. being heavily overweight like 90% of diabetics are, is also crucial in context with diabetes.

As this correlation may be involving high level of lipids to impair function of pancreas, thus producing less insulin, leading to insulin resistance because of the higher level of lipids.

Based on experience at Royal London Hospitals in London, UK.

Not to forget that conventional treatment of diabetes including, inter alia, dosing of insulin, monitoring of blood sugar and blood sugar and meal planning can lead to

Mental Problems

such as, inter alia,
- anxiety
- depression
- stress
- anger
   and erven
- suicidal ideation
according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

IN A NUTSHELL

Diabetes 2 is not only one of the chronic/unsolved health problems of our time, it is also related to at least one crucial comorbidity in 3 quarters of cases. Scientifically validated.
