We should favor food rich in healthy nutrients such as legumes/whole grains/nuts/etc. and appropriate lifestyle including dietary time frame as well as weight control to extend life considerably. Read on to learn about details.

THE PHILOSOPHY BEHIND

As you know latest from our blogs/publications/seminars, healthy diet – besides physical exercise – is vital. Based on nutrients our nature is offering us, limitless. Depending on different qualities, quantities, and timings.

NUTRITIONAL BASICS FOR LONGEVITY - SCIENTIFICALLY VERIFIED

Although certain health factors such as age, genetics, sex, etc., play a basic role, certain nutrition is decisive for long and healthy life.

According to research at, inter alia,

- Tufts University in Boston, MA
- University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA
- Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO
   &
- Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, NC

As a result of this extended research, following nutritional factors should dominate our diet: Inter alia,

     *    legumes
  • whole grain
  • calories up to 30% from olive oil and nuts
  • white meat in a limited dimension
  • no red/processed meat
  • less sugar and refined carbohydrates
  • 3 cycles of 5-day fasting/mimicking diet during the year
  • day split (12 hours eating/12 hours fasting)

Additionally, keeping body mass index under 25, may help very well.

Also, protein consumption should be adequate, especially beyond age 65 to avoid being malnourished, as seniors of this age could become frail with a low protein diet.

This is in line with research at

- University of Bergen
   &

- Haukeland University Hospital
   (both in Bergen, Norway),
according to which reduced consumption of red/processed meat (as a basic of Western diet) in favor of more legumes/whole grains/nuts may extend life for another 8 years beyond age 60.

With special reference to the fact that plant-based diet does not only cut down the risk of diabetes and cardiovascular disease but inflammation in general which, to be sure, is an underlying factor of any disease. With an impact on life extension, accordingly.

As scientifically verified also at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH.
I

IN A NUTSHELL

Unlike Western diet, we should favor food rich in healthy nutrients such as legumes/whole grains/nuts/etc. and appropriate lifestyle including dietary time frame as well as weight control to extend life considerably. Scientifically verified by U.S. & international research.
