HOW TACKLE UTI NATURALLY?

Urinary Tract Infection (UTI), affecting some 50% of females sometimes in life, is seemingly a ‘schizophrenic’ medical issue. Based on – and saved by – bacteria. Read on to learn about the difference.

THE PHILOSOPHY BEHIND

Urinary tract infection (UTI) is not a death sentence. However, it is a very common issue of medical inconvenience in terms of bacterial infection. Prevalent in half of the female population at least once in life.

Based on research at, inter alia,

- University College London in London, UK
   &

- University of Queensland in Herston, Australia

With symptoms like, inter alia,
  • urgency & increased frequency of urination
  • cramping/pressure in lower abdomen/groin
  • feeling of pain/burning during urination
  • change of color/smell of urine
  • bloody/cloudy/murky urine

Caused by the bacteria Escherichia coli, with the consequence of cystitis as an inflammation.

To happen potentially as the result (side effect) of
  • diabetes
  • sexual intercourse
  • kidney transplant
           and
  • antibiotics

The latter seeming ‘schizophrenic’, as antibiotics are the conventional medical way to treat this phenomenon. Yes, somehow a vicious cycle.

NATURAL WAYS TO OVERCOME UTI – SCIENTIFICALLY VERIFIED

Based on natural lifestyle adjustments as practiced by our ancestors for thousands of years, we can indeed take action successfully with quite a few and very simple home remedies and modalities, as follows.

Frequent urination

To flush the bacteria from the urination tract, don’t hesitate to follow any urge for urination as soon as possible.

According to research at, inter alia, Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine in Rochester, MI.

Hydration

To stay well hydrated is very important in this context, as the water you drink clears your body from waste, without flushing out vital nutrients.

At the same time the water is diluting the urine and the flush through the body is speeded up. Making it more difficult for the bacteria to infect the cells of urinary organs.

And how much water to drink for appropriate hydration?

6-8 glasses of 8 ounces per day. As suggested by the U.S. National Institute of Diabeteoxides s and Digestive and Kidney Diseases in Bethesda, MD & Phoenix, AZ.

Vitamin C

Additionally, ladies by the age of 19 plus may swallow at least 75 milligrams (men 90 mg) of Vitamin C daily, if they don’t smoke. If they do, add 35 mg per day, both genders.

As recommended by the U.S. National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD, as this vitamin is reacting in urine with nitrates to create nitrogen oxides – killing bacteria.

Cranberry Juice

According to research at the University of Sao Paulo in Sao Paulo, Brazil, cranberry juice could prevent Escherichia coli bacteria to cling to cells in the urinary tract and therefore recommends consuming some 400 milliliters of at least 25% cranberry juice per day.

Not to overlook

Sex Life

If it is not performed in good hygiene, it can lead bacteria into the urinary tract.

To avoid, do this before the intercourse, inter alia:
  • washing genitals, primarily foreskin before and after intercourse
  • use condom
  • change condoms if changing from anal vaginal
  • urinate shortly before/after sex
  • both partners need to be aware of current/former UTI

According to U.S. National Institute of Diabetes and Digestivde and Kidney Diseases in Bethesda, MD.

Finally

Probiotics

Unlike manifold assumptions, bacteria are not necessarily something bad. Rather, besides indeed ‘bad’ bacteria like those creating UTI (with no additional benefit at all), there are also ‘good’ bacteria – so called probiotics – killing the ‘bad brothers’.

In fact, there are probiotics of the Lactobacillus group to save our urinary tract from bad bacteria.

As scientifically verified inter alia at the Governmental Medical College in Chandigarh, India.

By not only
  • hindering bad bacteria to attach cells of the urinary tract
           but also
  • developing the antibacterial hydrogen peroxide in urine
           &
  • cut down the pH value of urine, thus creating a situation less favorable for bad bacteria

Where and how get the probiotics from?

In fact from healthy food, fermented or in dairy, such as
  • sauerkraut
  • yogurt
  • certain types of cheese
  • kefir
